Jetix launches Jungle Fury campaign site
New Media Age reports that Jetix has recently launched a new campaign and game site for the Jungle Fury series. The site is aimed at raising more interest in the series reportedly. The new site is “stickier and more content-rich.” said a Jetix spokeswoman. This new campaign site comes after a relaunch of Jetix Europe websites.
Rangercast returns after short hiatus
After taking a break from the Power Ranger realm the Rangercast folks mark their return with episode 108. This latest episode involves the news of RPM’s Executive Producer changes, the premiere of Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, talk of Kamen Rider: Decade, and the latest Shinkenger series. This installment is dedicated to the memory Richard Genelle.
Bruce Kalish to be at NYCC?
Rangernews brought up earlier in the month that the new live action series, Aaron Stone, will premiere in two parts at the New York Comic Con next month. There is a rumor floating around that Bruce Kalish, who was the Executive Producer of SPD, will be at the convention. They picked up on an article of which the following is included:
And once the gamers are aware of this new cable series, it’s time to target the geeks. Which is why the cast & creative team behind “Aaron Stone” will be traveling to the Big Apple that weekend. Where — as part of the third annual New York Comic Con (which is being held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center February 6 – 8) — they’ll be screening the “Aaron Stone” pilot on Sunday afternoon and then doing a meet-and-greet session with conventioneers afterwards.
Note: Which is why the cast & creative team behind “Aaron Stone” will be traveling to the Big Apple that weekend.” – Kalish is the producer of Aaron Stone. So this rumor could have been confirmed through the linked article. We’re not confirming this – just raising a few points. The rest of the team could show up, he could not. Keep it here for a confirmation later, if any.
Will RPM be the end of the series?
Many fans are expecting great things from R.P.M, but others are asking if this will indeed be the last installment of Power Rangers. It is hard to tell. Depending on the sucess I suppose this season and if there are any more possible ideas for yet another season next year. Everything has been done already. Each series follows basically the same storyline – five (or three) young people get powers to be defend their planet against evil. I realize that there’s more to each storyline now, but I’m speaking in general. How long can such a plot go on?
Is Jack Olesker really on RangerBoard?
As many of you know Jack Olesker is the writer of the “series bible” of MMPR for Haim Saban. A post came up a couple of days ago from a person claming to be him, but some are skeptical. Olesker has worked on the creation of other television episodes such as The New Adventures of He-Man, Super Mario Bros., and TMNT. If the opener is really Olesker, welcome to RangerBoard. :)
Something new for PRE
Dai Shi realized something about Power Rangers Empire and the fandom in general: it’s dying. There’s really only a good amount of discussion happening at RangerBoard and Henshin Justice Unlimited (I apologize if I forgot any sites, odds are I’m not familiar with them or their forum). So what’s happening… there’s a new site in the works. No word on what exactly it will be, only some hints.
Erin Simms interview in the works
There is a plan in the works to post an interview with Erin Simms, who was originally supposed to cast Maya from the Lost Galaxy series, though before the series began she was replaced with Cerina Vincent.
According to Soulspice, the member making the plans, Simms is interested in doing the interview. All that’s needed now is a plan on how this is going to work: fans post questions in the thread then they be sent, or should Simms be asked the same questions as Soulspice’s old interview with Audri Marchionno.
Jack Guzman makes a Knight Rider appearance
Jack Guzman, who plays Danny as the black ranger in the Wild Force series, has made an appearance in a recent episode of Knight Rider. Rangernews pointed out he held the role of a guard. Yes a guard. Anyone care to go crazy because his role was a guard? Rangernews has. So you might as well join in too, though I’ll keep my sanity right now.
Dragon Knight heading to Brazil
Is today the day for old material or what? Animation World Network reported on January 16 that Adness Entertainment has secured a broadcasting license with TV Globo resulting in Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight airing in Brazil beginning this fall.
Interview with Kathy Christopherson
Way back on January 19 Graham and Chris Zunis (PRangerX) conducted an interview with Kathy Christopherson, who is Michelle Walsh on Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight. The interview can be listened to on Kamen Rider Central. You do not have to be a member to listen.
