Jetix launches Jungle Fury campaign site

New Media Age reports that Jetix has recently launched a new campaign and game site for the Jungle Fury series. The site is aimed at raising more interest in the series reportedly. The new site is “stickier and more content-rich.” said a Jetix spokeswoman. This new campaign site comes after a relaunch of Jetix Europe websites.

Anger over ABC Kids broadcasting Obama, not Power Rangers

ABC, as many of you are probably aware, drools over Obama-sama so much, they feel the compulsive need to suddenly check up on him needlessly. As they did today, giving live broadcast in a “Special Report” of his train trip to the inaugural ceremonies.

They interrupted the final episode of Power Rangers Jungle Fury to do this. Nor did they shift the show over to one of their other two digital channels so that frantic parents could switch over and avoid screaming mimi fits.

Well, let me assure you, any affection my little seven-year old brother had for Barack Obama is now effectively destroyed. Way to go, ABC.

Presented in 1.33:1 full frame, the picture has bright colors, though it also suffers from a CGI overdose. The audio is in DD 2.0 Stereo, which is satisfactory, and subtitles are provided in English. No extras, despite the fact the second half of the season (Power Rangers Jungle Fury: Way Of The Master) provided some trading cards. The only thing you get is a mail-in rebate for a Red Ranger action figure. If you ask me, splitting the season in two DVDs is cheap on Disney’s part, as they want to make as much moola as they can of this franchise.

Jungle Fury – Into The Jungle review

A portion of a Superheroes-R-Us review…

The series is back for the 2008 season with a action-packed 6 episode arc that gives us a new set of power rangers and a cool, if not zen-like master.  This season we have a new villain by the name of Dai Shi, a master of evil who is assisted by Camille,  chameleon and warrior.  The writing was good and the plots were not stupid. To my surprise, I found myself glued to the TV.
